Create metallic web buttons in photoshop

While surfing you often see the attractive metallic buttons on the websites. Now I am going to explain the procedure to create the metallic button with round corners in adobe photoshop.

Step 1: Open photoshop and start a new document of 300×100 pixels and 72 pixels/inch.
Step 2: Insert new layer then select rounded rectangle tool, set radius 4px and draw a rectangle as shown below(With any color).

Step 3: Right click on rectangle layer and select blending options. Select gradient overlay check box and click gradient overlay then lick on gradient to change gradient color settings. Adjust colors of gradient as shown here.

Step 4: Insert new layer and then select previous layer(rectangle layer), Click on rectangular marquee tool and select rectangular area as shown below.

Step 5: Click on move tool and drag selected area just above the original position. Then adjust the position of top portion as in image.

Step 6: Select latest layer(layer 2) and fill the selection with white to transparent gradient. Set layer transparency to 34%. Now you are ready with metallic web button.
